Community Directed Adaptation
The Community-Directed Adaptation Research (C-DAR) project aims to co-create a reparative methodology for climate adaptation planning while building a network of interdisciplinary researchers. It will also will provide a high-quality training experience for students

The Fostering Resilience through Audiovisual Media and Engaged Scholarship (FRAMES) Collaboration Space at Western University addresses the climate emergency by combining visual social science methods with community collaboration.
just transitions in food systems
The Building the Just Transitions in Food Systems Network is a community-led research project grounded in the resurgence of traditional food systems and Indigenous territorial governance.

Funded by a SSHRC Partnership Grant, the Participatory Agroecological Research for Transforming Knowledge and Equity in African Communities (PARTAKE), run by Isaac Luginaah, will tap into nutritional science and Indigenous knowledge to reduce food loss by adapting local seeds and strategies.
